Dry ice is Solid carbon dioxide (CO2), it is generated from CO2 PHYSICAL CHANGE that the Cryogenic Liquid CO2 stored in pressure vessel cryogenic CO2 tank (2.3mpa) will physically turn into solid and gas simultaneously through throttle plate of dry ice maker at atmospheric pressure (0.1mpa) in the atmosphere due to pressure and temperature change. Normally 1kg Cryogenic Liquid CO2 can turn into about 0.4kg solid dry ice and 0.6kg gas.
The temperature of dry ice is -78.5℃, and the dry ice will sublime from Solid into Gas directly without any residue as long as temperature difference existed, so it is suggested to produce and use high-density dry ice freshly.
