What is dry ice cleaning?

Dry ice cleaning is an environmentally friendly cleaning technology that uses dry ice (solid carbon dioxide) as a cleaning medium. The dry ice cleaning machine, also known as dry ice blasting machine accelerates the dry ice particles to hit the surface of the object through high-pressure airflow, and achieves efficient and non-destructive cleaning effects through the triple physical effects of low-temperature embrittlement, impact peeling and sublimation purge.

1.Low-temperature embrittlement

Dry ice particles (about -78.5℃) hit the surface of the target and instantly absorb heat (about 590kJ/kg), causing oil stains, carbon deposits, coatings, etc. to freeze and shrink rapidly, embrittle and crack.

2.Impact peeling

High-pressure air (usually 6-10bar) accelerates dry ice to supersonic speed (about 300m/s), impacts the embrittled layer, and crushes the pollutants.

3.Sublimation purge

After the dry ice penetrates into the crack, it quickly sublimates and expands, like a "micro explosion" to prop up the pollutants, and the gas flow blows away the residue without secondary residue.

Dry ice cleaning is a major breakthrough in physical cleaning technology. Our dry ice cleaner can achieve efficient and non-destructive operations, with the features of environmental friendliness, safety and ability to clean complex structure. Dry ice blaster is the preferred cleaning equipment for high-end manufacturing, precision maintenance, and cultural heritage protection.
